Chemical Peel Treatment Pre & Post Care 🧪
For: Radiant Glow Peel & Rejuvenating Layered Peel
📅 Pre-Treatment Instructions
To prep your skin and reduce the risk of irritation:
- Discontinue retinol, AHAs/BHAs, vitamin C, and benzoyl peroxide for 5–7 days before your peel.
- No waxing, dermaplaning, microneedling, or laser treatments for at least 7 days before.
- Avoid sun exposure or tanning beds for 1 week prior.
- Stay well-hydrated and avoid alcohol 24 hours before.
- Let us know if you’re using prescription medications or have had recent cosmetic procedures.
💆 What to Expect During Your Peel
- You may experience mild tingling, heat, or stinging during application—this is normal.
- Your peel may include single or multiple layers depending on the treatment and your skin’s tolerance.
- Some peels include no visible peeling (enzymatic) while others may cause shedding over several days.
- Your skin may appear flushed or tight immediately after.
🧴 Post-Treatment Care Instructions
Proper aftercare ensures better results and protects your skin:
- Avoid makeup for 24 hours.
- Do not pick, peel, or rub flaking skin. Let it shed naturally to prevent pigmentation.
- Avoid sweating, steam, hot showers, and workouts for 48 hours.
- No exfoliating products (retinol, acids, scrubs, acne meds) for at least 5–7 days.
- Use a gentle cleanser, soothing serum, and a barrier-repair moisturizer.
- SPF is mandatory daily—no exceptions. Your skin is more sensitive to UV after a peel.
🌀 Normal Side Effects
- Mild redness, sensitivity, and tightness
- Peeling or flaking typically begins on Day 2 or 3
- Slight swelling, dryness, or itchiness (do not scratch)
- Skin may feel rough or bumpy before peeling begins
- Post-inflammatory purging is possible with acne-prone skin
